ASWGA Fleece Competition
The Australian Superfine Wool Growers’ Association (ASWGA) proudly recognises excellence within the wool industry by facilitating and supporting fleece competitions at both regional and national levels.
At the centre of this is the ASWGA National Fleece Competition, celebrating the very best in superfine wool production. Entries are assessed across four categories—90s and finer, 80s, 74s and 70s—based on Bradford scores, with fleeces judged on key attributes including weight, quality, yield, trueness, uniformity, evenness and overall excellence.
Regional winners from Ararat-Barunah, Goulburn-Yass, Hamilton, Mudgee, New England, Tasmania and Western Australia progress to national recognition, showcasing the outstanding skill and dedication of Australia’s wool growers.
