Competition Results 2013-2014
The inaugural ASWGA Fleece Competition attracted good interest despite the mid shearing confirmation of the 2013-2014 competition.
ASWGA appreciated the considerable effort by members to support the competition and sincerely thanks AWN for housing and supplying the many hands needed to run the competition, the judges Ray Moroney and Peter Meakes for their carefully considered judgements, Grand Champion Prize sponsors Australian Country Spinners and Regional and Runner-Up Awards sponsors Roberts.
The fleece competition attracted 63 fleeces from across the eight ASWGA regions.
Congratulations to Allan & Carol Phillips of “Glen Stuart” Tasmania for winning the Australian Country Spinners Grand Champion Fleece Trophy. Allan & Carol Phillips also won the Class 90’s and placed first in the Tasmania region.
