OUR STORY
1960s–1970s
A national organisation emerges
Under the leadership of prominent superfine grower Arthur Beggs, ASWGA emerged in response to the need for dedicated representation of this specialty fibre.
1947
The first fine wool organisation
The Tasmanian Fine Merino Breeders Association was established to connect growers with their overseas customers.
TODAY
A national and international community
ASWGA includes grower members across Australia and global processor and manufacturing members, creating a direct link throughout the supply chain.
