MUDGEE REGION REPORT
Since my last report there
has been some water under the bridge with this area receiving some good falls
of rain from November through to the end of February. Rainfall has varied throughout the Mudgee
Region with some areas getting more than others. In the Sally’s Flat area we received
approximately 450mm of rain which caused us to have a late spring.
As a result of this, summer
grasses went berserk and we now have a bit of seed in the wool, but, we are not
complaining. Most members in the area
are still in survival mode and are still not sure what the weather will do.
Wool is growing quite well as
hand feeding has now stopped and sheep have plenty of feed and water in the
paddocks.
